Baptism Sunday - Foundations - Part 2 - October 27, 2024
“6When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. 7Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. 8But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” Romans 5:6-8 (NLT)
“9If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. 13For ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’” Romans 10:9-10, 13 (NLT)
“5God sent [Jesus] to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that He could adopt us as His very own children. 6And because we are His children, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, ‘Abba, Father.’ 7Now you are no longer a slave but God’s own child.” Galatians 4:5-7 (NLT)
“And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes.” Galatians 3:27 (NLT)
