First Steps
We would love to meet you and introduce you to the heart of our church.
Whether you are interested in learning what we believe or feel ready to become a member, First Steps is for you! Our 4-part class meets on Sunday mornings from 9:30am - 10:30am on our campus.
You will discover who we are, meet some of our staff, and connect with others. We can’t wait to walk with you on your Christ-centered journey.

Get Started
The First Steps classes are four consecutive Sundays, starting with Step One on the first Sunday of the month and Step Two on the second Sunday and so on. All classes are held in the First Steps room right inside the main entrance at 9:30am. *Please note that classes are from January-November. We take a break each December.
First Step Classes
Step 1. Follow
Explore what the Bible teaches about salvation, baptism, and communion. We will discuss how understanding these topics will create a strong foundation for a lifetime walk with Christ.
Step 2. Connect
Learn about the DNA of The Bayou Church: our history, mission, values, and the importance of membership.
Step 3. Discover
God designed you for a purpose! Enjoy discovering more about your personality and areas where you are most gifted to fulfill your purpose.
Step 4. Serve
With the empowering knowledge of your gifts, we’ll present the available ministries and places to serve at The Bayou Church. We’ll also explain how your generosity significantly impacts The Bayou Church and Acadiana.
