Which of the listed temptations (greed, gossip, anger, lust, overconsumption) do you think is most commonly minimized or justified in today’s culture? Why do you think that is?
Pastor Sean pointed out that temptation is “anything that promises satisfaction at the cost of your obedience to God.” How have you seen this in your own life or someone else’s? What was the cost?
Read James 1:14-15. Temptation starts with desires, but those desires can quickly get out of hand. What practical steps can adults take to recognize the subtle enticements that lead to destructive behaviors?
